In 2014, Sofía Toledo Soto founded SOFYcares in San Miguel. This company offers private care from rehabilitation to palliative care for clients in the same city. Sofia is an experienced caregiver and speaks fluent English, having lived for 38 years in the United States. During her time in the United States, Sofia gained experience caring for seniors in various situations, including 5 years working as a licensed nursing assistant in acute care hospitals, 3 years providing home health care to seniors through a licensed agency and 7 years as owner and operator of a licensed facility in California. The latter offered accommodation and care for older people, including those suffering from Alzheimer's.
